Rev. Dr. Kenny Ott
Lead Pastor
Hi! Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit more about me.
The first thing I want to share with you is that I love Jesus and His church. My life purpose is to glorify God and make disciples by walking along side others to help them discover clarity and purpose so that their lives positively impact the world and fill heaven to over-flowing!
I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior at thirteen years of age while attending a revival at my Granny’s church. My call to pastoral ministry came the next year while working to earn the Boy Scouts’ God and Country award. However, the road to ministry took a few turns.
After high school I served in the U.S. Air Force for ten years in Colorado, Germany, Florida, England and North Carolina. In 1988 I began a fourteen-year career with Delta Airlines working in the Technical Operations and Training Divisions. Finally, in 1999 I started serving in ministry part time as a lay person then full time as a pastor in 2001.
My wife Cathi is the one God used to call me back to Himself and the Church of my youth. Through Cathi I experienced a new kind of love and began to grow again spiritually. Together we have sought to better understand our roles as children of God, husband and wife, father and mother, Papa and Nana, friend and companion.
My love of learning led me to a Bachelor's Degree in Management (Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University), Master's of Divinity (Candler School of Theology at Emory University), and a Doctorate of Ministry (Beeson Institute for Church Leadership and Biblical Preaching at Asbury Seminary). Beyond the university, I am certified as a Vision Navigator and Strategic Planner as well as a Profession Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation.
Cathi and I have a son, Cortner Quinn, and daughter, Ann Dee Quinn Neal who is married to Joey. We also have two granddaughters, Emma and Avery. I love camping, cycling, kayaking, boating, white water rafting, hiking, and good food. My dream car is a ’67 Shelby GT 500 Mustang.
I would love to buy you a cup of coffee and hear about your life.
