Be the Church
Join us for Be the Church as we put our faith into action!
Enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast at 8:15am, followed by ONE brief worship service at 9:30am. Then, we’ll head out in serve teams to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ in our community. There will be projects for all ages and abilities — everyone can make a difference!
Nursery will be available from 9:00am–12:00pm for children ages 0–4 (a parent/guardian must remain onsite to serve).
Children ages 5 and up will serve alongside their families.
*Please note: No regular kids programming will be held that day.

Onsite Serve Opportunities
- Sorting for MUST Ministries | 10:00am-12:00pm
This serve team will bag and sort for MUST Ministries. - Cherokee Thanksgiving Cards | 10:00am-12:00pm
This serve team will decorate and write encouraging cards to Cherokee Thanksgiving recipients. - Church Building & Grounds Clean-up | 10:30am-2:00pm
This serve team will clear small trees, spread mulch, clean the playground, dust pews and windows sills in sanctuary. - Painting Prayer Rocks | 10:00am-11:00am
This serve team will paint prayer rocks to distribute through our community. - Family with Children Serve Project | 10:00am-11:00am
Families will work on decorating and boxing cookies to deliver to first responders, and making teacher survival kits for the faculty and staff at RM Moore.
Offsite Serve Opportunities
All team members please plan to meet at the church for a brief worship service at 9:30am before dispersing as a team to your serve site.
- School Painting & Campus Beautification | 10:30am-2:00pm
This serve team will complete a painting project and spreading pine straw at RM Moore Elementary School. - Landscaping & Painting at Goshen Valley Boys Ranch | 10:30am-2:00pm
This serve team will complete various landscaping tasks and painting projects at Goshen Valley Boys Ranch. Project is best for ages fourth grade and up. All minors should have a parent to serve with them. - MUST Ministry Cleaning | 10:30am-2:00pm
This serve team will complete deep cleaning projects both inside & outside, pressure washing and spreading pine straw at MUST Ministry. - Encompass Ministries Cleaning & Organizing | 10:30am-2:00pm
This serve team will work clean and organize the warehouse, as well as deep clean the kitchen and food pantry. - Restoration Farms Yardwork | 10:30am-2:00pm
This serve team will cut up fallen trees and haul wood to a central location. - Porch Repair | 10:30am-1:00pm
This serve team will replace porch stairs and porch pickets. - Roof Repair & Landscaping | 10:30am-2:00pm
This serve team will repair a roof awning, complete yard clean-up, trim shrubs and pressure wash projects. - Gazebo Removal & Install | 10:30am-2:00pm
This serve team will conduct minor repairs to a gazebo, removal of a second gazebo and install a metal gazebo. - Singing at The Arbor | 10:30am-2:00pm
This serve team will joyfully preform for the residents at The Arbor. - Fall Festival at Tanner Place Community | 10:30am-2:00pm
This serve team will help by running the fall festival at Tanner Community. - Prayer Ministry | 10:30am-12:00pm
Serve team members will host a prayer booth at a local park and pray while walking around the campuses of various schools and businesses. - Removal & Replacing Lightbulbs | 10:00am-12:00pm
This serve team will help by removing and replacing lightbulbs around a house. - Yardwork | 10:30am-1:00pm
This serve team will help by completing yard work, removing light limbs and removing trash.
Registration is open through October 14.
*Please plan to wear comfortable clothing and shoes to serve in and bring a sack lunch and a water bottle.
