Learning Is Fun!
At the Canton First Methodist Preschool children participate in many hands-on, age-appropriate activities, they don’t even realize that they are learning – but they are! Instilling in our children the idea that Preschool is fun helps develop a lifelong love of learning. We prepare our preschool students with the skills they need and the encouragement and confidence that comes from knowing they are loved by God. This foundation prepares them to thrive in their future environments.

Preschool Information
CFMC Preschool is a non-profit ministry of Canton First Methodist Church, established to meet the needs of the children of its congregation and the surrounding community. This ministry is dedicated to providing a balanced program that helps families raise children with strong Christian values, who also possess all the skills necessary to enter elementary school.
The goals of our Preschool are to nurture and develop the following in each child:
- An understanding of God’s love
- A positive self-image
- A respect for others and for self
- The ability to work and play happily with others in a group
- A natural curiosity about all things
- An understanding of self, home, school and community
- A respect for the rights, ideas, and opinions of others
- Academic and creative potential through music, stories, art, and play
Calendar & Tuition
CFMC Preschool follows Cherokee County School District’s schedule in reference to breaks, holidays and severe weather, with the exception of start and end dates. The preschool will be closed on any CCSD Remote Learning days. View our preschool calendar for a complete schedule of our year.
CFMC Preschool daily program hours are 9:00am -12:00pm, except for the Young 5's class which is 9:00am-1:00pm.
CFMC offers an optional Lunch Bunch for 3's and 4's classes, extends the day to 1:00pm.
Tuition is an annual amount, to be paid in 10 equal monthly payments, July through April. No tuition will be due in the month of May. Tuition is due the 1st of each month, and late after the 10th. If you are signed up for electronic payments, it will be processed on the 5th day each month, July through April.
Registration
Registration for the 2025-2026 school year opens Monday, February 3, 2025, at 10:00am.
Please read important information below, before clicking the registration link.
- Priority placement is given to currently enrolled families, Canton First Methodist Church members and then to the community.
- Current & Previous Preschool Families, before registering a sibling, you must contact the preschool to add them to your family account first. Once they have been added, they will be visible on your family “MyProcare” account, and you can then register all children at the same time. Please email your child’s name, gender and date of birth to or call the preschool office at 770-720-3225.
- New families, the link will take you to the “Pre-Registration” process. You will be notified within 2 weeks to let you know if a space is available or not. If a space is available, you will be directed to complete the registration process and pay the registration fee at that time. If no space is available, you will be placed on the waiting list and notified if a space becomes available.
- A Non-Refundable registration fee of $225.00 per family, is due with your online application. The registration process will not be complete until this is paid.
- You must register all siblings at the same time to avoid a duplicate registration fee.
- A small card processing fee will be applied to all payments.
- The registration link below will not work until registration opens at the date and time stated above.
